How to Enable Librabd E-mail address from Gmail?
***Enabling Your New Mail Service***
1. Use your web browser to go to http://webmail.librabd.net
2. Type your existing "librabd" username in the Username:
box
3. Type the new password in the Password: box, then
click on the Sign in button.
4. Type the verification letters you see in the picture
below in the text box.
5. Click on the "I accept, Create my account" button
to activate your email account.
6. Click Yes, in the security pop-up window
7. Click on the Settings at the upper right corner of
your browser window.
8. Click on the Forwarding and POP tab,
9. Select "Enable POP for all mail"
10. Click on Save Changes button to save your settings.
Your mailbox is now setup for POP/SMTP use. But you will need to configure your email client (e.g.Eudora, Outlook, Outlook Express, etc) following one of the following guidelines. ***
Configuring your email client: Outlook Express and Outlook 2002
1. Open Outlook or Outlook Express.
2. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts...
3. Click Add and then click Mail...
4. Enter your name in Display name field, and click
Next.
5. Enter your full Librabd email address (username@librabd.net
) in Email address field, and click Next.
6. Enter pop.gmail.com in Incoming mail (POP3 IMAP or
HTTP) server filed Enter smtp.gmail.com in the Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server field.
7. Click Next.
8. Enter your Librabd username (username @librabd.net)
in the Account name field. Enter your librabd password
in the Password field, and click Next. Click Finish.
9. Highlight pop.gmail.com under Account, and click
Properties.
10. Click the Advanced tab.
11. Check the box next to "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)" under "Outgoing Mail (SMTP)".
12. Enter 465 in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field.
13. Check the box next to "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)" under "Incoming mail (POP3)". The
port will change to 995
* The order of Outgoing and Incoming mail server fields varies by version. Make sure you enter the correct information in each field.
15. Click the Servers tab, and check the box next to
My server requires authentication.
16. Click OK.
Configuring your email client: Outlook 2003
1. Open Outlook 2003.
2. Click the Tools menu, and select E-mail Accounts...
3. Select Add a new e-mail account, and click Next.
4. Choose POP3 as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click Next.
5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
User Information
Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the
From: "Your name field of outgoing messages".
Email Address: Enter your full Librabd email address ( username@librabd.net )
Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
